Tenda router setup is not difficult if you follow the quick setup steps given on our site. You can connect the Tenda router in two methods: wired and wireless.

Connecting your Tenda router to a Windows computer using a wired setup:

  • Gently plug one end of an Ethernet cable into the WAN port of your Tenda router.
  • Connect the other end of the cable to the DSL modem.
  • Use another Ethernet cable and plug one end of it into the Tenda router's LAN port.
  • Connect the other end to the Windows computer.
  • Connect the Tenda router to an electrical outlet with the help of the power cord.
  • Turn on your computer and check whether you are connected to the Internet after the Tenda router setup.

Connecting your Tenda router to a Windows computer using a wireless setup:

  • First, connect your Tenda router to the DSL modem and turn it On.
  • Similarly, turn on your Windows computer and click the Wi-Fi icon at the bottom-right corner of the screen.
  • Turn on Wi-Fi and search for the Tenda wireless network name from the list of available wireless networks for Tenda router setup.
  • Select the Tenda wireless network (SSID) and click the Connect button.
  • If prompted, enter the network key.
  • After connecting your Windows computer to the wireless network, check whether you could access the Internet.

Setting up the Tenda Wi-Fi router using the Web browser:

  • Once connected to the router, close all the running programs on your Windows computer, and open the default browser.
  • Enter the Tenda router's IP address in the URL field and hit the Enter key.
  • Enter "admin" in the Username and Password fields.
  • Click OK to access the administrative interface.
  • Navigate to the left-side panel and select Setup Wizard.
  • On the Setup Wizard screen, click the Auto Detect button and follow the on-screen prompts to finish the basic setup.
  • On the Internet Connection Setup screen, you can select either the PPPoE or DHCP connection as your connection type.
  • Change the default login credentials to prevent unauthorized access to your administrative interface.
  • After applying the necessary settings, save it and exit the router’s administrative interface and finally complete the Tenda router setup.
