  • First, verify whether you have connected all the network devices using standard Ethernet cables.
  • If you have already connected the ORBI router to the modem, disconnect it.
  • Restart your modem and reconnect it to the router using the supplied network (Ethernet) cable. It should be plugged firmly to the router's Internet port.
  • Next, connect your computer to the ORBI router using the wireless network credentials instead of an Ethernet cable.
  • Log on to the router's login portal by entering the router's IP address in your browser's address bar.
  • Enter the router's login credentials and check if you can access the router's web interface.
  • The login credentials are printed on the label attached to the router's backside.
  • Change the existing network name and network key.
  • Decrease the transmit power and change the wireless channel.
  • If you are not able to access the router's web interface, connect your computer directly to the modem using a standard Ethernet cable to fix Orbi router problems.
  • Next, check whether you can access the Internet from your computer.
  • If your router is running the old firmware, update it first.
  • To do so, connect your mobile to the ORBI router's wireless network.
  • Next, launch the Orbi app and enter your administrator password.
  • Tap the Sign-In button to access the main interface.
  • Tap the Menu icon available at the top-left corner of the screen and select Settings.
  • Tap the Router Settings sub-menu and select Check for Updates at the bottom of the screen.
  • Tap the Update Firmware button (if available) and update your router's firmware with the help of the on-screen prompts.
  • If the problem persists, reset your ORBI router settings to factory defaults.
  • To do so, identify the Reset button on your router.
  • In general, the Reset buttons are located at the backside of the routers.
  • Make sure that your ORBI router is turned on.
  • Now, using a paper clip, press the Reset button.
  • Hold it until the Power LED flashes.
  • Once you have reset the router to the factory defaults, reconfigure the necessary settings on the router's settings page.
