Now, connect the router to your modem using an Ethernet cable.
Connect the modem to a wall outlet and plug in the router to a power source.

Now, plug in the other end of the Ethernet cable from the LAN port of the router to your computer.

Locate the Reset button on the Linksys router.
Now, press the button using a paper clip or pen for at least 10 seconds.
This process will turn all the router settings to the factory defaults.
Once you have done the resetting process. Proceed to update the firmware of the router to the latest version.
Now, go to the computer connected to the router.
Enter the IP address of the router in the address bar of your browser.
Sign in to the web setup page of the router.
Once you are on the web-based setup page, go to the Firmware update section.
If you find an update, install it by following the instructions on the screen.
Restart the router and check if the issue is resolved.
