  • Connect the Linksys AC1200 router and computer via an Ethernet cable.
  • Attach the Linksys router's power cable to its power port and wall power outlet.
  • Power on the Linksys AC1200 router and wait until the device initializes.
  • Type the Linksys router's IP address in your browser's address bar and press Enter. Typically, the Linksys router's IP address is '' without quotes.
  • Leave the username field blank,type 'admin' as the passphrase without quotes, and click Log in.
  • Choose the Connectivity option and then click Internet Settings. Click Edit.
  • Select Bridge mode from the Connection Type drop-down list and then choose either of these options. Select the Obtain automatically option if you want the gateway to provide the IP address for the Linksys router. Choose the Specify option if you need to set the IP address manually.
  • After entering the Linksys router's IP address manually, click the Apply button to save the changes. Click Yes.
  • Now, the Linksys AC1200 router is in the bridge mode.
