The D-Link router has two different passwords, one for logging in to the router setup page and the other one for accessing the wireless router network. The below methods help you to change both the passwords.
The router and the computer must be on the same network connection.
Enter the IP address of the D-Link router on the computer’s web browser and open the router’s login page.
You can use the default User Name and the Password to log in to the router’s setup page unless you have not changed the default login credentials. In the other case, use the changed User Name and Password to log in.
By default, the User Name is “Admin,” and there is no Password, just click the Login button.
Once the router configuration page opens, select the Tools tab.
On the page, in the Admin Password section, delete the old password and type a new password.
Reenter the password below for verification and then select the Save Settings button to save the changes.
Now, reboot the router and re-connect the setup.
Log in to the router configuration page using the username and the new password.
D-Link router’s Wi-Fi password:
Go to the D-Link’s configuration page, as mentioned above.
Then select the Wireless menu on the left side navigation panel.
On the right-side pane, click the Wireless Security button below Wireless Settings - Wireless Security.
Next, scroll down to the Pre-Shared Key section and delete the old Wi-Fi password.
Enter a new strong Wi-Fi password and click Apply to save the settings.
