WPS is a connection method that allows you to connect a device to a wireless router easily without the network credentials. Most routers have the WPS button on the rear side of the router. However, if the WPS button is not available, you can enable it from the web-based setup page of the router. Follow the steps below to know how to enable WPS on Arris router quickly.
Enabling WPS On An Arris Router
You have to configure your Arris router before you begin the WPS setup.
Plug in an Ethernet cable to the WAN port of the router and connect the other end to your modem.
Connect both the devices to a power source.
Wait for about 5 minutes until the router and modem are ready.
Press the WPS button on the router. You can find it on the top of the router.
Hold the button and wait for at least three seconds.
Now, press the WPS button or enable the WPS option on the device that you want to connect to the router.
If you are connecting a wireless printer to the Wi-Fi network, press the Wi-Fi icon or WPS button on the printer.
As mentioned above, if there is no WPS button on the router, you can turn on WPS from your computer.
Open a web browser on your computer connected to the router and type the IP address of the Arris router in the address bar.
Navigate to the Wireless settings section and select Basic Security Settings.
Locate the Turn WPS ON section and click on the Radio button next to On.
Click on the Apply button after making the changes and restart your Arris router.
If you find the network connection to be slow, it might be due to the Wi-Fi channel of the router. You can change it to improve the quality or range of the Wi-Fi network.
