Step 1 - Set up networking and enabling bridge mode:

  • Establish a connection between your AT&T DSL modem and your computer using an Ethernet cable.
  • Navigate to the Gateway Settings web page on the computer and click the Advanced tab on the left panel.
  • Type the device access code in the appropriate field located at the bottom of the AT&T DSL modem’s sticker.
  • Click the PPP Location tab on the left panel, select the radio button next to the PPP is on the computer, gateway, or router option, and click Save.

Step 2 - Hardware connection:

Turn off the ATT DSL modem and disconnect the Ethernet cable between the modem and the computer.

AT&T DSL modem and router:

  • Take an Ethernet cable and plug its one end into the Ethernet port of the AT&T DSL modem.
  • The other end of the Ethernet cable must be connected to the WAN or Internet port of your wireless router.

Router and computer:

  • Take another Ethernet cable and connect its one end to the Ethernet port of the wireless router.
  • Now, plug the other end of the Ethernet cable into the computer’s Ethernet port that is located at the rear side.

Turn on:

  • Check if the computer is turned on.
  • Power up both the AT&T DSL modem and the wireless router.

Step 3 - router settings:

  • Go to the computer that is connected to the wireless router’s network and then open a web browser.
  • Navigate to the address field, type the wireless router’s IP address, and press the Enter key on the keyboard.
  • If prompted, provide your username and password in the appropriate fields.
  • Now, you can access the web-based management page of the wireless router from the web browser.
  • Go to the Internet Connection field and select the PPPoE option.
  • Provide the AT&T DSL modem’s network name and password and then save the settings.
