Keep your router in an open area and make sure not to keep it in an enclosed space.
You need two Ethernet cables.
If you are using a modem for your computer, unplug all the wires from your computer and the modem and start setting up your router.
Plug one end of your Ethernet cable into your modem and plug the other end into the WAN port of the router.
Now, take another Ethernet cable.
Plug one end into the computer and another end into the LAN port.
Power on your modem and let it boot. It may take around 30 seconds.
