The router can be connected to the Spectrum modem with the help of a power cable. Connect the correct internet cable to the electrical socket. Use an Ethernet cable for the required connection to the Ethernet port. Update the firmware and then check the internet connection.

How to disable access point on Spectrum router
Perform the steps below to disable the access point on the Spectrum router.
First, open a new web browser and sign into the router admin GUI by typing the IP address in the address bar.
Now, type the Spectrum router username and password in the appropriate fields.
The Basic setup page will appear.
On this page, click Basic Wireless Settings.
Untick the Enable SSID for 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz.
Save the settings by clicking the Apply option.
How to connect Netgear router to spectrum modem
Perform the following guidelines to connect the Netgear router to the spectrum modem.
First, plug one end of the power cable to the spectrum modem and the other end to the cable wall outlet.
Now, plug the modem power cord into the power socket and then connect the other end to the end of the spectrum modem.
Next, plug one end of the Ethernet cable into the rear of the spectrum modem and then connect the other end into the WAN port of the Netgear router.
Plug the Netgear router’s power cord to the power socket and then connect the other end to the rear of the computer.
Check for the Netgear router and the modem lights to confirm the connection and then connect to the network on the computer.
How to connect spectrum Wi-Fi Router
Perform the following steps to connect the Spectrum Wi-Fi.
First, plug the Ethernet cable to the modem and then the other end to the internet port on the rear of the Wi-Fi router.
Plugin the power cable to the Wi-Fi router and then connect it to the power outlet.
Wait for 10 minutes, and then the Wi-Fi status light will turn on.
Next, launch the device’s Wi-Fi settings.
Choose the specific Wi-Fi network name which is found at the rear of the router.
Type the password on the Wi-Fi router.
How to Connect WIFI Extender to Spectrum Router
You can use a Wi-Fi extender when the connection range of the Spectrum router is not enough. Follow these steps to establish a connection between the Spectrum router and Wi-Fi extender.
Power on the Spectrum router and wait until it initializes.
Locate the Spectrum router’s IP address. It is found on the device’s label or in the user manual.
Enter the Spectrum router’s IP address in the browser’s address bar and press Enter.
Navigate to the Wireless Connection tab and find the WPS option. The WPS option has an icon which has up and down arrow keys beside the WPS logo.
When you click the WPS option, the WPS LED blinks on the Spectrum router.
At this point, press the Wi-Fi extender’s WPS button. The Spectrum router is now connected to the Wi-Fi extender.
Spectrum Modem Won't Connect to Router
If the Spectrum router does not connect to the modem, you can follow these guidelines to fix the issue.
Check whether the Ethernet cable connected to the Spectrum router is working as intended. If it is faulty, replace it.
If there is any device causing radio interference with the Spectrum modem, move it away from the modem.
Open the Spectrum modem’s EWS page and check whether the device is configured to use the 2.4 or 5 GHz network. If this network is not compatible with the router, change it.
While the Spectrum modem is powered on, detach its power cable from the Power port.
Wait for a couple of minutes before reattaching the cable to the Spectrum modem. The Spectrum modem’s LEDs starts blinking. Wait until the device initializes and then try connecting it to the router.
