  • Disconnect the power cord that is connected between the Comcast router and the power source.
  • Leave it for 30 seconds and re-establish the connection between them.

Xfinity My Account:

  • Sign in to the Xfinity My Account using the Xfinity ID and password.
  • Navigate to the Devices section, search for your modem, and select the Restart Modem option.
  • Once you click the Start Troubleshooting option, the modem begins to restart.
  • This might take up to a maximum of seven minutes.

Xfinity My Account application:

  • Make sure you have installed the Xfinity application on your smartphone.
  • If not, go to the Play Store (Android) or App Store (iOS) application to install the Xfinity app.
  • Launch the installed app on the smartphone and tap the Internet option.
  • After choosing your modem, tap the Restart this device option.
  • Wait for about seven minutes and check if the issue has been resolved.


Check if all the interface cables are properly connected at both ends.
