Check if it is possible to connect the PC to the Internet without the Airstation. Then switch off your PC and modem.
Disconnect the LAN cable connected between the modem and the PC.
Connect the LAN cable’s one end into your modem. Then connect its other end to the AirStation’s Internet (WAN) port. Power on the modem.
Switch on the AirStation. Wait for one minute. Press the Power button on the rear of the AirStation if it does not turn on after the AC adapter is connected.
If a wired LAN is used, then connect the PC and the AirStation LAN port with a LAN cable. If you prefer a wireless connection, then connect the PC to the wireless LAN.
Once the PC has been booted, the LED’s on the AirStation should blink as given below.
The Wireless light should be ON or Blinking.
The Internet access light should be ON.
The Router light should be ON.
The Buffalo light (White light) should be ON.
The LAN light should be ON or Blinking.
The Internet light should be ON or Blinking.
If the router LED does not glow, then find the Mode button and press it. Hold that button for 3 seconds and router mode turns on.
Open the web browser on your computer. The Home screen will appear. Now, the setup is complete. If the Home screen does not appear, then it means that the setup is not completed.
If the home screen of AirStation doesn’t open, then enter the LAN-side IP address of the AirStation. The IP address varies based on various modes.
When it prompts to enter the username and password. Input admin in the username field, and type password in the password field. Choose Log In. The initial setup of your AirStation is completed successfully.
