Step 1 - Update the firmware

  • Check if the firmware of your Asus router is updated to the most recent version.
  • To update the firmware, access the web-based setup page and click the Firmware Update tab at the top of the screen.
  • Navigate to the Firmware Version section and click the Firmware Upgrade button.

  • Click the WAN tab on the left panel.
  • On the main panel, navigate to the WAN DNS Settings section and go to the ‘Connect to a DNS Server Automatically’ field.
  • Select the radio button next to the No option.
  • Fill the DNS Server 1 and DNS Server 2 fields correctly.
  • Save the altered proxy settings by clicking the Apply option.
  • Finally, restart the Asus router after the Asus router proxy settings.
